Synopsis

This anthology, a complement to the medieval music of the Akal Music History, includes in its pages a complete selection of the main genres of the period between the Full Middle Ages and the middle of the fifteenth century, from the Gregorian chant to the works of Machaut, through the trovadorescas compositions and the Cantigas de Alfonso X. His seventy-one pieces offer, in complete versions, a broad panorama of the musical creation of the time, with examples of conductus, organum, motete or ballata, among others.
